    Default tyre size please

    need 2 rear tyres.

    what size fit the standard sri 17" wheel

    215/50/17 are the standard ones, or you can switch to 225/45/17 which are a bit cheaper and more choice of tyres. It's okay to have different sizes on front and back, but if you do switch sizes put the 225/45s on the back.

    215/50/17 is the ones that come on the car...also dearer to replace..
    225/45/17 are the alternative size, more choice and cheaper prices.. vx also reccomend this size too as an alternative..

    Change to the 225/45/17 mate, you wont regret it, the prices are so much cheaper and the range unbelievable, and you wont notice the difference in real terms.

    Don't forget the 2.5% less rolling circumference affect on your speedo

    Mine is now +7% across the range from +5% before the change to 225/45 tyres
    checked speedo against sat-nav

    and IMHO I don't think the speedo alters a great deal

    Yeah, as the speedo's are wrong anyway that extra 2.5% is really worth worring about
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Now I know that indicated 80 ish I'm doing 75 ish not 76 ish

    It could make a difference....perhaps, sometime, somewhere
