    Default Quick One, Onboard Computer

Passing garage last night and noticed i had inly 25miles left in the tank. Got to petrol station and realised I didnt have my wallet with me and only had £6.00ish. Oh well, put it in paid for it and noticed that the needle had moved up slightly off the red, but the computer was still dispolaying 25 miles. This morning drove to work, thinking it will sort itself out, and is now displaying 20! Any ideas anyone? Going to put £30 quids worth in at dinner time to see if this solves the problem.

pretty sure it will be the sensor in the tank, with £6 its not going to have changed alot in the tank so the sensor / mark is still thinking theres 20 odd miles left in the tank.

Tbh you would probably get 40 odd

I wouldnt worry about it mate. Mines the same, if the fuel is that low it usually takes about a tenners worth to make it register on the computer.

Gauges are only indicators, not accurate at all, thats why on a full tank the 1st half seems to return say 300 miles and then the needle goes into freefall and you only get another 150 miles from the tank, plus youonly added just over a gallon @ £6.
