Service question...........

Going to service the car myself my question is can you get a service pack from VX if so whats the cost and what do you get for your money

not so much a pack just go and get air/oil/fuel filter, oil, sump bung ring and if you want a pollen filter too.......

not too sure about the cost i'm afraid head gone at the mo

Bought an oil filter and 4 spark plugs for my 1.8 vvti last week and cost me about £11 from main dealer.

Doing the job was a piece of cake.

By the way guys, new plugs and 5w 30 oil. Wow, what a difference! Hits the magic 5 grand and she's off!

How easy is it to change the plugs?how do you get at them past the vast plastic barrier?

Is the service easy to do ?

The plastic engine cover just pulls off with a tug, remove the rubber gromets from the engine and slot back in when you replace.

Simple. Just remove the centre plastic cover, remove the block connector on the right as you look at the engine, remove the 2 Torx bolts and remove the plug rail.

With the oil filter, mine is the paper cartridge type so just removed the plastic housing with a 27mm socket, (think it was 27mm), old filter out, new filter in and that's it.
