    Default Remapping 1.9 cdti

I have just about decided on a remap for my 1.9 cdti 150. I'm not being greedy, just going for around 180/185 bhp which should be fairly easily achieveable (I think).

I have spoken to a customer who does remapping and comes highly recommended to me by one of our technicians at work, but I have a question.

I know that it can be mapped back to standard but I remember reading on a thread somewhere that it seems quite easy, i.e. 'I tried my new map, stopped and put the old map back on'. Am I right, have I read this or just imagined it? and if I have read it, how easy is it to do and what do I need to do it?

Any other advice/ recommendations would be greatly appreciated, panel air filters etc, I don't really want to go down the cone filter route, want to keep it pretty standard really, just with a bit more ooomphh

I think you mean PPC or the BSR remap, the map comes on a little box you plug into the OBD port and flash yourself. You can also put the standard one back on yourself too.

On the subject of panel filters, I used to in a previous life sell Pipercross filters for HGV's which were open cell foam construction for high air flow. Has anyone used these and if so are they any good, or are there any better?
