    Unless the selector shaft changed on the facelift, I can't see why not. Trying to think if anyone's put that on a pre-face who could confirm.

    As for the ad - he says he bought it new for £300!! Is that for real? I can't believe just the knob costs £300?!

    i cant unless it was made out of gold is it a hard job to change on vec looks very well put together

    Some people have sawn off their old knobs (ooer missus) but that seems the drastic way. A less destructive way seems to be to whack the knob (Oh gawd, it's getting worse) from underneath to get it off the shaft in one piece.

    so all the lift up part and gaitor is untouched and sorry to go on but how does the new knob attach cheers

    I thought the VXR gear knob could only be done by upgrading the whole gearstick for the short shift VXR linkage?

    That is true as the linkage is different. The VXR knob comes as part of the complete gaitor/linkage package. I believe the knob itself is useless on it's own. Unless you already have a VXR I guess.
