Default Remap on a VVTi vs a 150CDTi?

Having spoken to Darrel at Torquing BHP a remap is in the pipeline for the VVTi engine Z18XER. reckons on about 18BHP and 36lbs.ft torque increas i think he said

Quite a hefty increase for a NA engine

so that will give me approx 160BHP and 208lbs.ft torque.

Now the 150 CDTi is 148 BHP and 236lbs.ft Torque.

Question is? is which one is quicker to say 80mph?
and is there any adverse effect on having an increased rev limit?

so i could go from doing 61mph in 2nd to something around 67mph in second if they raised it by 300rpm

Whats your views on this subject pweese

Bought the wrong engine to start with if that's the route you're going down mate...

Seriously though, you'd probably be better off with a 2.2 or 2.0 Turbo for the power and fuel economy you'll be getting...

Funny thing is, you'd probably find the insurance would be higher on a modified car than on a standard more powerful one lol
