    Default Removing automatic windscreen wipers?!?

    Hi,

Is it possible to remove the automatic windscreen wipers sensor along with the interior rear view automatic dipping mirror/ambiente light and refit it in another Vectra C?

Because if it is thats whats going to happen.

    Cheers

The mirrors have different mounting brackets to the windscreen IIRC depending if you have a Rain Sensor or not. Although they might physicly fit, the rain sensor models have brackets built onto the mirror to hold the casing over the sensor. However, I havent looked to see if this part of the mirror is detatchable. (Just don't pull the ball joint out, as they dont tend to go back in without breaking the glass!)

Obviously, if you have a Rain Sensor Windscreen (which has the mountings for the sensor to clip to), then yes, you can just swap over. However, if you have a windscreen without a rain sensor, then obviously, you can't.

Though, if you really wanted to, you could replace the Windscreen with the appropiate one, but of the top of my head they are about £250-£300+.
