    Default What program to build a website

    I am looking to build a website for a club i am in , after the guy that designed and run website passed away. i am a complete novice at this and would be grateful for any advice/help off you guys in the know??

    There are loads of options for WYSIWYG web design, Dreamweaver is the most powerful (and probably most expensive) while others like Fusion can belimited in their use (depends on how sophisticated you want the site).

    A freeware option, and a good starting point, could be NVU (http://www.nvu.com

    Sometimes, depending on the hosting package, you can get some form of basic web design package included, either web-based or included license.

    Basically

    I use Dreamweaver as it's a very powerful app, but doesn't guide you like some other, less capable packages might.

    As Juzzy said, really depends what you want to do with it.

    MMMmmmm true... although I have to say back in my days of learning right click / view source and Notepad where very handy and I still prefer it today.
