    Default stone chip repairs

Hi all, got blasted by a large stone from a lorry, which has dinged my roof at the front.

No dent but done the paint through to the metal....anyone any advice on the best way to deal with it?

I have got my vx repair paints but was wondering if there were any other better options for a home repair.

    regards

Chips away tend to be popular with a lot, search for them on the internet, they usually have someone local who will come and repair it where you want as opposed to taking it to them!

If you are brave and average at DIY - see link below to Detailing World. Look in the How To forums or just run a search under chips.

    http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/

They have comprehensive guides and advice on how to do diy repairs on chips and minor scratches.

Beware though - its not for the novice and as above I would pay Chips Away/ similar - I cocked up my old signum's bonnet - meaning a respray!

from when i`ve had work done with chips away,
1, i`ve had a good result very pleased.
2nd time not too happy with colour match.
3 , i think price is a bit steep some times.
they quoted me £49.00 + vat for a scratched wheel. and you can have a full refurb from£70.00 ish.
