    Default Sat Nav Recommendations?

Looking at purchasing a Sat Nav unit.
    Ideally under £160/170
Has anyone got an ideas on what to go for.
Ease of use is paramount as the folks will use it too.
Looked at the Tomtom one V3 but not sure if i can download upgrades such as traffic alerts and cameras?

Basically a run down is required of what you people suggest and why if you can

    Cheers Gregg

I've got a Garmin i3 Streetpilot surplus to requirements, £65 inc. postage, can be
upgraded via the Garmin website, postcode driven, a doddle to use.

I have always found TomTom to be the best visually and accuratly.

Doesn't the TomTom one have an SD slot in the bottom? If so, speed camera POIs can be used.

My old Tomtom One was able to download Speed camera poi's. The traffic alerts is a subscription option I think.

If you buy the tomtom traffic antenna then traffic updates are free as you have paid a one of cost in buying the antenna to use the traffic service, But if you use your phone for the traffic updates then its a tomtom subscription and whatever data cost are involved with your phone / provider / plan..

For those of you guys who have a tomtom

Can i subscribe to Traffic updates on the normal v3 tomtom one (£120ish)or do i need to buy the tomtom one V3 Traffic (£150ish)?

Is there such things as free download sites for these?

Can i upload maps to a Tomtom one i.e Europe maps if required?

I've got a TomTom one (v2) Europe which is v easy to use. You can download camera poi's from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ for a small fee, which is about £10 a year or as i do £2 for one months membership as i only update every so often as most camera sites dont change that often.
There is also an idiots guide on how to install the relevant camera poi's onto your unit.
Hope this is of some help.

    Cheers
    Jolly
