    Default 2007 spec VXR - aren't they all 280PS?

Just been having a shufty around what's around at the moment in VXR estates. Looking at 2006 onwards as I want the 280PS version.

Came across one that is a 56 plate (07 model) yet it says it's a 255PS. Surely that can't be right? I thought by then they'd all have been 280's?

It's got just under 14K on the clock, and is up for just under £14K - which seemed a bit of a flippin' bargain I thought? It also has snowflakes fitted.

Doesn't say what other spec it has, description is basic.

Is that on Autotrader? Wouldnt take too much notice of the descriptions. They are usually wrong (in my experience)

Edit, acutally, a 56 plate, could be either. You cant be sure until to check out the plate with the power stamped on it on the B pillar.

Would be a shame after all the effort and hard work youve put into your signum, but onwards and upwards i suppose.

They are the standard 18in VXR wheels. Suppose to handle much better though by all accounts

I've been looking at the vxr but have driven two now one a 255 and the other the 280 and have to say I wasn't that impressed I prefer the astra vxr for handling the engine noise on the vec was a major issue (255 version)deffo could not live with it on long trips
if it comes to it I prefer the focus st for all round driveability and awaiting the facelift st before I make my mind up or maybe a mondeo st (prob not the best thing to say on this site but its my opinon sorry)

It was on the Network Q site, car held at a main dealer - so not sure if it'd also be in Autotrader.

Of course, I was just wondering if a 255 could be on a 56 plate?

No m8, not for a while yet. I'll definitely have the Signum all this year. I want to enjoy Stage 3 just a bit longer! lol, and I've got no reason to change yet. Car's running nicely, I still like it a lot and once Junior arrives it'll still fit the bill nicely sizewise etc.

Nope, these were definitely snowflakes on the pic I saw - actual car. The Autotrader one must be a different car then.

More load carrying space in the back without having to fold down seats etc. As Junior gets older and we start going on holidays etc,we're only going to have more crap to take with us! lol I also fancied the idea of a VXR with a BSR remap to have a 300bhp bus!

I was simply curious as to what's around at the moment. I may end up having the Signum most of next year too - I really don't know. I really like the car, and I'm not one that gets bored quickly with a car or changes it on a regular basis, so when next year comes, if it's still running fine and hasn't started to cost me majorly in repairs/parts etc., then I might just hang onto it. If I need more load space for going on holidays etc. with Junior, then, as Dwabo joked, a roof box could indeed be the sensible thing to get.
