Here we go folks, South Central No1 of 2008. I apologise immediately for the pictures, I can't take one to save my life, the sun did its level best to muck things up too, it was just too bright!!
Anyway, we started off this morning, Me, Shaz, Mark, Cara and JuzzyD made our way from my place. Literally, just outside, Bobsignum was emerging from a side road and Grem and Mrs Grem were turning into the car park.
As we pulled in, Big Sig (Sean), LJ SXI-nav (Lee) and Paul 66 had secured a fantastic spot! We managed to get all the cars in one line. Apart from BobSignum! After a while, David Martin arrived, followed soon after by two more (I said I'm crap with names!) bringing the turn out to a record breaking 11!
As you can see, it was a gloriously sunny day and while the sun shone, it was actually quite warm.
We went into the museum itself and mainly due to the layout, we were soon in different parts. No pictures of inside from us, I'm not sure if we were even allowed to.
After a quick cuppa, we poured back to the car park and got a few more pictures. BobSignum and Paul had to go pretty soon, but we got a few more pictures.
What a motley crew...
We decided to move on, to Danebury Hill, where I thought we'd get a few more shots, but the car park was full.
No Matter. We made our own.
Mark and Cara, had a couple of hour drive back to Bedfordshire, so they left at around 13.00, at which point the rest of us decided we had the munchies, a quick spin up to Andover, found us safely ensconsed in a Brewers Fayre.
We ordered a Cheeseburger meal each. After the best part of an hour, two arguements with the manager and a threat to stop anyone else being sat until we were served, saw us treated to a free lunch! Thanks Brewers Fayre, Never again!!
Nice to meet up with the new faces, Hopefully something we can repeat soon enough. I've asked for a few ideas, mainly because over the next couple of months, I'll have my hands full with one or two other things, but hopefully, May or June, we'll be doing Vec C by the sea! Venue to be confirmed, usual applys - all welcome!
