Default Rear pads, creak from front area

    Hi,

Changed the rear pads as per excellent how to on this site.

Wound the pistons in using a pair of long nose pliers (glad I kept the gym subscription going lol) but..

Can hear a creaking coming from the front area, thinking around the master cylinder (opened the bleed nipples whilst winding pistons back in). The hand brake was working fine and then felt lose, then fine etc. Pedal also feels soggy and travels down when I hold the pedal. I've changed loads of brakes on cars so feel a bit despondent that all is not fine. Hard to get anything wrong so surprised.

    Did bleed brakes after install.

    Cheers
    M

I could be wrong, but using long noses without even pressure could've stripped the threads in the pistons, and the handbrake does work off of them iirc, but as you say something ain't right.
