Sounds like something's out of balance - could be the clutch itself maybe...? Not an expert, just a thought...

Bearing in the gearbox, Or as stated, If your Model has the Dual Mass Flywheel, That could cause it !!

I used to have an old shape 2.0 DTi (99-T). That used to vibrate like mad on acceleration... and above 75 on the motorway. That turned out to be the input shaft bearings on the gearbox. Bearing in mind though, it was the F18 gearbox that's made of chocolate... not sure what yours has...? A new gearbox sorted it in the end, got a used one from a breakers for £250.

It was also linkage rod actuated from the gear lever and the gear lever used to shake about aswell...awful...! Think yours is cable actuated so you might not get that.......

this sounds promising could you have had the same fault i dont notice it at normal 30 mph speeds but seems the harder i accelorate and the faster i go the worse it gets but if i get it up to 90mph and put clutch in it runs smooth does that sound the same thanx for your reply mark
