LMF 314mm Kit....all you need in a box....the 3ltr V6 CDti uses those brakes as well..

VXR brakes will be a bit overkill on a 1.9.. even a tuned one..

The 314mm kit will make a huuuuge difference to the 285mm ones you'll have on now.

No real need to have the rears done. The fronts do the majority of the braking so the 314mm upgrade will make a bug difference. If you really wanted to do it, and again there's no real need, then the 2.0T and V6s have 292mm rears, compared to your 278mm rears, so you could source them from maybe a front ended one of those if you were set on the idea.

Could be they had different makes of pads in front and back, e.g. different compounds and the rears have maybe been softer and worn more quickly.

Believe me, the front brakes do the majority of the braking force compared to the rears. If I was you, I'd fit the 314mm front kit as GSi said, then if you felt you still needed more braking power then you could then source a 292mm kit for the rears.

PLenty of guys on here have fitted the 314mm kit to their (tuned) 1.9s and not bothered/really needed to do the rears.

They're listed under the pre-facelift models, but not the facelift. I can't see any reason why they won't fit a facelift, and I'm sure people have. I think it's just an omission on the website.
