    Default GSi ride height

Today, whilst having a ciggy, I thought the clearance between the rear o/s wheel and the arch looked tight. Compared it with the rear n/s and there was 1.5cm difference. The attached photo shows what I mean.

The ride heights for all four corners are:

    Rear n/s 66.5 cm
    Rear o/s 65.0 cm
    Front n/s 67.0 cm
    Front o/s 68.0 cm

The car is a 2002 model, 57000 miles on standard 17" rims with 215/50/17 rubber.

I'd like to know from other members with a similar set up what their ride heights are, especially the rear and why my rear ones are so different (****ged springs?).

my standard springs sagged so much that when i fitted 'lowered' springs it actually raised the rear up!!!...they where terrible...

the eibachs fitted are much better quality..better ride and haven't given in to another 3 yrs abuse....

Quite possibly a ****ged spring. Have you had a good feel underneath of the spring?

Duncan, I've had a grope around the base of the rear springs - what am I looking / feeling for?
