Default Water level warning on cold mornings

I've had this a couple of times, since the weather got cold. When I start up, everything's OK. Then, a few seconds later, the "radiator" symbol appears in the left hand display. If you restart the car, it goes away. The water level is right on the mark, when the engine is cold.
Anyone else seen this? Especially on the V6 CDTi?

Well, mine's a 3.0, but I suppose the electronics are the same. It's due a service after Xmas, so I'll put it on the list of jobs.

My 2.0T SRi Vectra did this this morning, I knew the levels were OK so just drove off. Restarted the car once at work and light never came on. It was minus 2 this morning though and I had left the engine running, door open whilst scraping the windows...

When mine went in for a service t'other day, the dealer said that the sensor is a bit, well, sensitive!
If you fill it to the "KALT" mark when cold, it may drop a bit lower when it's really really cold -like this morning, when we were levering dogs off lamposts! They filled mine up to a bit above the mark, and it's been fine ever since.
It'll be especially bad if you park on a kerb, due to the position of the sensor.
I meant to post this last week, but forgot. Silly me!

    Phil
