    Default Why do people do it ?

    I am a painter and decorator self employed for the last 11 years. Today i go to decorate new utility room and shower room for a doctor. The wallpaper was £86.57 per roll . Guess what, i ran short of paper needed 3 lenghts of paper about 58" long, he was gutted when i told him he needed to order one more roll of paper, he started going through my bag of off cuts to try to find enough wallpaper to complete the job. The thing is when i went to price the job i told him to get 6 rolls and when i arrived today he had only ordered 5 why do people ask you to measure up then not get what you tell em, happens all the time and why do people never order past with the wallpaper wtf they think your gonna stick it on with, and it was a tw*t to put on.

    You chose the job!!!!!!!!!! I have to admit that the other day i was p*ssed off with this customer and another workmate said the customer is always right, and i said f*ck the customer. He then asked what i'm doing in retail if i felt that way!!!!!!!!

    No TAM the customer "thinks" they are right. It's how you handle them and "let" them think they are right.
    There are ways of handling awkward customers. I've had a few shout and swear at me in the past over things i have no control over, just let them vent and stay polite.
    Then you screw them with the bill

    anyone daft enough to pay £86 a roll (for a utility room FFS) deserves to be shafted by a bill. Having paid that much why would you even think about using offcuts - ship / happeneth of tar spring to mind.

    I deal with Customer Concerns for an ISP, and get to speak to some real bum holes.

    People always ask me how I stay so calm, and manage to end the call so well. Well, I let them rant, and just think about people with real problems. Like the teenagers dying of Cancer on my fiance's (is that spelt right) ward. I allow my calmness to control the call, the customer detects it, and usually ends up saying something like..

    "Well, it's not your fault, I'm just annoyed, how much is it...blahblah"

    To be fair, I'm so involved thinking about real problems that I aint listening to my customer half the time! Maybe thats the way to do it!

    wont bore you with the full in's and out's but, elderly couple in trust run complex, shower fitted - tested - small work's certificate issued after much needed main bonding upgraded to 10mm from 4mm by trust spark's, november 2007........still no payment

    remember he is a doctor and so is his wife so you would think money wouldnt be a problem, but if that was the case why did'nt he just what i asked him
