hi, new to the forum, just recently bought a second hand vectra 2.2, i have a problem with the cd player. it is a VDO CDR 2005 CD PLAYER. when i put in a cd the screen display says error. i have tried different disks but same problem. can the problem be easily fixed with for example a reset button or has it had it.

Are these ones you have "burnt" your self if so try a bought one, I have had this problem with mine I have found that some CD,S that I have "burnt" on will work and some will not.

i have tried a few of both as that is what i first thought but still having the same error message. just hope i dont have to replace it as there £250 new from a dealer

Have you tried to clean the laser reader?

If you want another, I've got one in my wardrobe out of my old SRi, won't cost anything like £250 either!!

Worked perfectly before it was taken out and I'll deliver!
