Revamp of the General Chat section

Righty ho - following on from this thread, we've now had a revamp of the General Chat section which should, we hope!, make those obsessed with post count that little bit happier!

As you can see, there are four sections which are basically self-explanatory when you read the sub-section information. Before starting a thread, have a look to see which section is the most relevant for it.

The only section in there that counts towards post counts is the General Chat section. This is for non-car related threads, but ones that still have general relevance and usefulness to other members.

The Mods will be monitoring these sections to make sure that only relevant threads go into the General Chat section. If you get a thread moved, please don't have a whinge about it - just accept it and move on. The whole reason for the monitoring of the General section is so that people don't have to wade through pages of irrelevant gumpf if they're looking for certain threads. Those irrelevant threads are for either the C&H or Off Topic sections. If people are seen to be persistently posting in the General Chat section when it should obviously be in another section (to obviously up their post count), they'll simply, for a time, lose the ability to post in the whole section.

As the General Chat section was changed to not count towards post counts, and now does, people may have seen themselves jump up a User Title or two this evening! Don't start celebrating yet!, lol, as The Mods will be going through this whole section over time to move threads, if needs be, to other sections. Obviously this will drop the relevant user's post count, and possibly also their User Title. If this happens, again please don't come whinging or posting up about it - just accept that you, temporarily, had a higher User Title.
