Found my perfect car...

Anyone who reads my posts cannot have failed to notice how much I go on about exactly what car I would love to have. As such, I'm always on the look-out on eBay, Autotrader, here and the car supermarkets to see how common they are. While I've come close several times, there was always one little thing that wasn't quite what I wanted - usually the 3.0 CDTi is an automatic instead of a manual...

And last night - I found this...

It is everything I want - facelift Signum Elite 3.0 CDTi WITH Adaptive Forward Lighting! AND it's a manual! Low mileage for it's age, which isn't ideal as it's probably not done a lot of long runs. Also the fact that it's a private seller would mean I'd have to find a buyer for mine, as well as the cash for this, and I'm really not in a financial position to do it till at least when I've finished paying for my current Vectra.

On the plus side, at least I know they're out there and do exist!

Quick respray in Arden blue, a few VXR bits and pieces and we're away...

That looks a nice motor mate! Not a bad price, and being private you could probably knock him down a bit!

Shame you can't go ahead with it, but I'm sure there will be others!

I was a bit luckier... I decided I wanted to change mine for one with Parking sensors in the hope it would give me the loom for the rear windows and other stuff, and also because I had a bumper with sensors and an XP splitter on (plus I wanted something with less mileage). Found one on AT on the Thursday and it was on my drive Saturday evening

I'm sure you'll find one when you're ready.

It's a combination of being in my last couple of years with the RAF, so having to look for somewhere to live in north England when I leave, starting my Pilot's License and paying off my Vectra as quickly as possible jsut means I really can't justify buying it now...

Unless anyone wants to give me 7 grand for mine...

Ok - I have a plan...

I'm going to wait till it finishes on eBay, and if it isn't sold or bid on, and gets relisted at a lightly lower price, then I might make him a cheeky offer...

And then see if I can sell mine on here....

If it wasn't a private sale I'd immediately go for it - As much as I want it, I've got to consider the financial aspect of it all. I'll leave it and see what happens and whether it sells or not...
