    Default brake pedal switch

I currently am finding when i touch the brake pedal after using the cruise control the cruise will stop working.I know there is a problem known regarding this, but i have searched the forums looking for info on how to fix it , and it mainly talks about the clutch spring problem. Can anyone point me to a thread showing how to fix the brake /cruise problem? is there an electrical switch there somewhere that needs replacing?Something with pictures would be great if anyone can link me to it.

What do you mean by 'touch'? It's perfectly normal for the CC to cancel when you start to apply the brakes, as it is when you depress the clutch pedal.

What i mean is i cannot get the cruise control to resume again.Once i have touched the brakes it will not start working agin until i switch the engine off then on again as a general rule.It only seems to stop working wen i touch the brake pedal, the clutch pedal works fine, so i guess its not the clutch spring problem. It may be a brake switch problem, im thinking maybe the system thinks the brake is engaged and therfore wont allow the cruise to start up again, but im not sure.

Does sound like it then. Sounds like you need to maybe change the brake pedal switch.
