Yeh just had a look it is an origin thingy... I'm lookin' at doing away with the standard Vaux screen and fitting something behind heater facia.... couple of questions 1. will disconnecting the Vx screen interfere with canbus etc. and 2. Do the likes of TomTom nav systems etc. have to be fitted on top of the dash?

Here ya go mate. This is a 55 plate Signum, presumable the screen size is the same. By the looks of what I saw, the tom tom would be perfect. (excuse my mucky fingerprints... it got hammered today!)

Cheers for that R-Man .... looks as though that could work... is there any buttons / switches that you need to access on the side or back of the unit?

As you will see, the rear of the unit has ports for: USB Cable for uploading data from PC. And Power supply from cigar lighter.

The bottom has connections for the windscreen stalk which you won't be using, and DC Power.

All in all it sounds like a go'er mate. Any other questions I can help with?

only downside is you will need an external antenna as the satelite signal wont be picked up there. Needs to be in the front window

Mmmmmmmmmmmm....... If I have to fit this on the window, it's kind of defeating my purpose of fitting it behind the heater facia with a fabricated flip up cover to hide it.........
