I think that model requires to be pluged to a TECH II and feed the code that way, which means a trip to a dealer or some garage that handle do the job via TECH II.

The CD70 does not have a code; it is paired to the car/display via the car/security code.

The car 4-digit security code is on your car pass, but you don't need it. It is only needed if you want to install a new CDxx unit or display

no ! the CD70 does not have a code: the car knows 'his' CD70 and won't forget it, even not when you disconnect the battery.
A code is only needed if you want to 'unpair' it (divorce), for instance if you want to sell the CD70 otherwise it will be useless

But you need the car pass " code" for the Tech 2 to be used. The Tech 2 guy needed mine when he did the foglights and the DPF burn.

The guy probably needed the VIN and was to lazy to look for it elsewhere... however the security code is indeed needed for some tech2-sessions
