It seems that I have started two threads that are deemed to be in-appropriate for discussion. I would like to say in my defence that I thought a post about dvd's was ok as I am aware that people are aloud to make back up copies.

My second post in my defence is a legal loop hole, like the speeding loophole.

BUT I DO APOLOGISE and will make every effort to make sure that my posts and threads are suitable for our/your forum.

Unfortunately not. Breaking copy protection on a DVD is a (civil) offence and that alone can get you in hot water, and us for allowing discussion of it on here. Backup copies of computer software are allowed, and is mentioned in the licenses that come with it, but not of DVDs.

Appreciated, and as above, people can make mistakes or simply not be aware of the legal implications etc. - but we still have to act either way.
