    Talking Mushy vs Astra VXR!!!

Well on my way back from Yorkshire tonight I come through the back way from harrogate, skipton and burnley onto the M65.

Coming down the a65 the road is very not very straight and you are braking and accelarating between 40 & 60mph.

Anyway the Astra was giving it the bifters so I thought I would have a play and see if he took me on and he did, as I said the roads are not really for flat speed but up and down with hills etc.

Out of the bends the Astra would pull alot better but not much difference, however when we hit some big hills the astra was not touching the beast for pure torque up the hills and I overtook him with a bemused face.

The siggy was struggling suspension wise around the bends but the beast impressed with its sheer grunt.

I am even more happy with the BSR map.

Well I just thought i would share my 20mins of fun driving out of a usual 2hr boring drive!

A bit of bravery goes a long way. I took on a Civic type R at the weekend on a local bypass, straights with lots of roundabouts. He had a few yards on me coming out of the roundabouts but bravery a little bravery under braking (on the well berated Goodyear NCT5's going in) and the midrange torque saw me through. He didn't look happy hehehe.
Despite the cost of living it still seems popular!

Great roads for a blast up that end, it used to be one of my fav play areas. Not for the faint hearted though.
