Default Advice/ Opinions for budding Vectra buyer

    Hello to everone,
I am on the point of buying a new Vectra and have more or less settled on a Red 150 Exclusiv hatchback, there were just a couple of things I was not certain of ,is it really worth the extra money for the 150 over the 120? I tend to do around 400 miles a week including a 280 mile round trip on the M1 each week, also where in the model line up does the Exclusiv sit ? reading the Vauhall brochure it appears to be one up from the "Life" but when I price the cars the Exclusiv is a lot cheaper than the "Life" !!

Does the 150 engine have any known reliability issues to worry about a couple of years down the line or is it just as reliable as the 120 engine?

even though the Vectra is going to be replaced in Sept 2008 these cars seem incredible value for money, less than £12.5k for a brand new 150 version on the road with a years tax thrown in,I think they look good too even with the steel wheels ( 5 spoke alloy look alikes)

Anyway thanks for the opinions and I look forward to a few years happy motoring with a Vectra

Out of the two it would deffo be the 150 / 6SP combination I would go for ,

with the mileage you do you should get 600/650 miles per tank.

    And they're faster

    1 - Yes

Now go into the dealer and see if he'll move you up to an SRi for another £500, don't get if ya don't ask, and as it's a new car I think you will be unlucky to get a bad one now, VX know most of the issues, and it is a fun engine to have.
