Help!

Guys, just getting some stuff out the boot of the Signum. Gone to close it, and it hasn't closed properly - something stopping it and I think right by the boot catch itself. (Also got a horrible feeling its a part of a very nice suit). Only problem is the boot wont open, just makes a motor noise but wont release, but isn't closed either!!!

ANY IDEAS????????????????????????

can you force the boot shut then try and open it? or can you release from the inside by climbing in the boot?

Option 1 worked Andy, thanks for your ideas! Took some real force to get it shut (am I doing the right thing) did run through my mind. Turns out a strap from a holdall was caught in and amongst the mechanism. Phew. Thanks again.

Well I did kick the car I must admit, bit foolish really as she goes back on Wednesday.... "Your Damages Bill Sir". Luckily I'm a big girls blouse so no damage lol.
