    Default chrome door trim

    evening guys can any one help ? my 54 reg sri hasn't got the chrome strips along the window frame on the doors, can i buy these seperate and fit them or not. all help greatfully recieved as always.

    Yes you can buy them seperate but the rear quaterlights are built into the window seals so you have to take the whole unit out and apparently it's a bit of a pig to do.

    yes you can buy seperate
    door weather strips are about £35 each
    not sure about rear quarter but they are a pig to fit and need a lot time and care to fit these
    mine took over an hour and you will need to remove a lot of paneling

    I wouldn't bother if it was me! they just turn a different misty like condition!! that I can't clean it out. looks as if its actually weathering if thats the right word. It does look crap to me, IMO. save your money and buy something else.

    Hello mate, I am in the process of swapping over to black plastic from chrome. I have changed the rear glass, its a bit of a pig but as everything once you know which bits to remove its easy. There was a chap selling a chrome set on ebay for £75 otherwise I would go to a breakers for them. The door trim should just pull off.

    These can supply via ebay if you have the part numbers.
