    Default Now Iam worried.......HELP!

I have just been out to change the HID bulbs on my new vectra, and thought i would have a quick nosey round.

    Its a 3.2 GSi

    1) The coolant bottle is orange and is covered in like a rusty sludge?

    2) Pollen filter is completely black - easy change this

    3) MOST WORRYING! The engine filler neck is filled with saled cream like sludge? I hope this isnt the head gasket? I have had no loss of coolant?

    HELP

    DON'T PANIC..

the filler neck is totally normal.. cold air is hitting the oil mist and causing the mayo to form..

I always take the neck extension off and put the fillercap straight onto the cam cover instead.... no more mayo appears..

    Pollen filter.. doddle.. nuff said..

Coolant should be orange..thats the longlife stuff...if it's staining outside the bottle ( like it's overflowing) it could well be a dodgy pressurecap...got a piccy to show us what the bottle and it's contents looks like?

The bottle is not leaking at all, the inside of the bottle is coated in rusty sludge, where the return is from engine/rad, if you stick your finger in the inside is just rusty sludge.

I will try and get some pics up?

Thanks GSI 3.2 you put my mind at ease!!

PS Where is the oil filter on these? front or back?

    Thanks

Short journey,s cause the "gunge" in the filler neck. A good clean out then it will be ok for a while, or as Mark [gsi3.2] say,s remove the filler neck and put the cap on in it,s place.
