    Default Disney DVD's

Right guys I have a problem with my Disney Dvd's. I am trying to make back up copies of them as my 1 yr old nephew scratched the hell out of one of them, they copy great with 1 click dvd copy 5 only trouble is when I try to view the actual film there is no sound.

does anyone know how to decode them? I have a de-coder dvd43 but like i say no sound.

Please may I re-iterrate that I am trying to make BACK UP copies.

    Regards

    Darren

This may be protection within them???? I'm not sure.

You could try running a program called AnyDVD, this removes the encryption to allow for backing up dvd's to protect your original copies.

www.videohelp.com for guides. i use DVDShrink sometimes, or Ripit4me if the discs has protected sectors.

It may be disney have authored the discs with a silent sound track, labelled it as primary audio and got the titleste to select a different trackon the original disc. If you use DVDshrink it retainsthe original disc structure so should be fine.

Guys, NOT a topic for discussion on this forum - you really should know that by now.

Silver V - I know you were talking about backing up a disc you own, but at the end of the day that's irrelevant. You're still asking how to circumnavigate the protection system of a DVD, and the thread is then turning into ways you can do that - THIS IS NOT A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION FOR THIS FORUM AS REMOVING THE PROTECTION SYSTEM IN PLACE ON A DVD IS AN OFFENCE IN ITSELF AND WILL GET YOU, AND US, IN HOT WATER IF WE'RE BEING SEEN TO ALLOW THIS TOPIC OF CONVERSATION - WHICH WE DON'T!!
