Will filler go hard without the hardener mixed in? Even after prolonged periods of time?

Also, what about if you don't mix the specified amount of hardener, does it just take longer to cure??

In reply to your first question, I would think it would dry out ultimately once exposed to air - so would, in effect, get harder but probably quite crumbly.

Re hardener - I'd expect it would take longer to cure, but it also wouldn't set as hard as it would've with the correct amount of hardener, so will remain 'soft'

filler will not go hard when left for a long period it will dry out slightly,you need the hardner to cause the reaction which generates the heat which make isopon go hard,if you use slightly less hardner then it will eventually go hard we would use that method when the weather is very warm or if we have a large area to cover

iirc the less hardener you mix it with the quicker it goes off, it is nearly 27 yrs since I used the stuff but I'm almost certain this is the case. hth

other way round....more hardner = faster cure time and less time to get it on the panel and shaped before it starts to set..
