Cheers bud. Do you know how to change the front discs ? After you have taken off the two hexbits and removed the caliper can you remove the disc or do you have to take something else off ?

    Sorry for asking dumb questions

There's just a (5mm) allen screw that holds the disc on to the hub, undo that and then the disc can come off.

The disc will prob' be stuck on, so if you get a piece of wood and place that behind the disc and then hit repeatedly with a hammer. You might need to rotate the disc around while hitting it to loosen it.

there maybe a small retaining screw, if it won't come out - usually siezed in - impact driver may help, just drill the head of the screw and remove it afterwards or use it as a locating pin for the new disks
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Only joined today.....this is pretty good

One more question - the caliper is mounted onto the anchor bracket, do i have to remove that or can i get the new disc on by simply removing the two 7mm hex bolts and removing the caliper ?. If I have to remove the anchor bracket what size ar the torq bolts ?

    I owe you a drink !

I think you can leave the anchor bracket on, there's another post on here that said you dont have to remove it.

When I did mine I did remove the anchor bracket as I didnt have a 7mm allen key, I think the torx bolts are E18 or E20, I cant remember which exactly, but I do remember that they were unbelievably tight, and that they need threadlock and torquing up to 230nm.

You'll need to remove the carriers - 2 x E18/20 bolts which are very, very tight. You'll want a long bar/breaking bar to undo them. Clean the threads and reapply locking compound when you refit.

I'm going to change the discs and pads tomorrow so will let everyone know how I get on.
I haven't got an E18 or E20 torx bolt socket so I hope that I don't need to remove them.
Does anyone out there know for sure ?

    Cheers
