    Default Ran out of Diesel...

....Driving the car home from Vx Dealer on Thursday night and noticed I needed fuel. But before I managed to make it to the garage it conked out on me.

I managed to get a friend to get some fuel and get me to the garage and fill it up.

But now it feels slower, and after I hit abit over 70ish it feels like the car has nothing left. Then the engine management/warning Light comes on till I stop the car.

Could this be something else, or has the lack of fuel in the tank damaged something.

    Thanks,

    Craig

Have you bleed the injectors? Am not sure in a car but if you run a wagon dry it fills the injectors with air so you have to undo each one near where it enters the engine and turn it over and blow the air out! Might be best to nip round the corner, "break down" and let your friendly AA man have a go cause he's a very very nice man!!!

In the pipes sorry ye, and the guy rubbed his finger in there and there was enough to get on his fingers.

It's litterally like driving a standard no turbo Diesel at the moment.

Amazing how much power the turbo gives you.

there's always a little oil moving round..but it shouldn't stop the turbo boosting..

does the car have boost?..is it smoking blue/white out of the exhaust at the mo?..if there's a lot of oil in there then the seals may have gone....

to be 100% sure you need to get the management codes read and get it inspected at a garage..
