    Default Track rod inners Help

    Hi

Ive found some play in the drivers side wheel last night. Ive just whipped the wheel off and released the track rod outer ball joint from the hub. If i wiggle the steering wheel a little side to side while holding the track rod inner i can feel a small knocking. Can these inner rods have a little play or should there be no movement at all. Luckly my dealers have a drivers side inner track rod in stock so I can go and fetch one before 1pm. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Yer, i managed to replace the drivers side this afternoon, the steering feels loads better now. I'll think i'll replace the passengers side next weekend just for good luck. I got a 22mm on the rack flat but had to use an adjustable spanner on the inner rod. Haynes manual says a special tool is needed but when i asked at my local vauxhall they said they dont sell any tools. Where do you get these from?
