    Default tuning box please help

    help has anyone fitted tuning box to 22dti it has 4 wires red (positive) black (earth) green to pump & grey to throttle can anyone help please .....where is the throttle control signal & i have 2 pump wires to choose from

    Well, I hope you have better luck than I did, because I never got my box to work properly, not because there was anything wrong with the box, but because I didn't have a connection with sufficient voltage at the throttle !!!
    That’s why I ended up selling the box on and going with a remap.

    Right, first up, if you haven't got one already, get yerself a meter, not a test light.
    The connection needs to be made at the switch on the throttle pedal, that’s inside the car up under the dash, so you’ll need to take the lower trim panel off to get to it.
    When you look up under the dash at the throttle, you will see a ,multi plug on the end of it, probably got about 6-7 wires (give or take) going into it.
    Now if memory serves, I am 90% certain the wire you are supposed to need is the one nearest the front of the car. (cant recall the colour, sorry, but I also seem to recall colour can vary anyway, depending on age/type of car)
    Assuming your box is going to be looking for the same thing mine was, this wire needs to have +5volts coming out of when you are at FULL throttle, the voltage will drop lower as you come off the throttle.
    Put the metre on this wire and check your voltage at FULL throttle.
    This is where it all went wrong for me, although I had +5volts going into this switch, I did NOT have that voltage coming out, I think I only got to about +2.5 - +3volts coming out at full throttle.
    With my lack of voltage the box never knew I was at full throttle (and the corresponding voltage lower down the throttle range is obviously also lower than it should be) so the box never actually kicked in properly, ever.
    I tried everything I could, but there was no way to make it work.
    And no, there is/was no fault on my car, I even had the throttle switch replaced to be sure. (even though it has always driven perfectly normally)
