    Default Elbow grease

I've no doubt that this question has been asked before, but how easy is it to get a stunning finish without a polisher?

My car has swirl marks all over and I've been looking into giving it the full detailing treatment for the first time. Alas, I can't find the £150 needed for an orbital polisher. So, just how easy or difficult would it be to do the job just using the above elbow grease?

And whilst we're on the topic, what would anyone suggest in terms of suitable products to make my Ultra Blue Vectra look pristine once more?

TBH you're gonna struggle to remove really bad swirl marks without a polisher. I removed some very very minor ones on the missus newish car by hand last week but there's still a few there.

I'm doing my car next weekend with a more aggresive polish but don't think I'll get close to removing all of them. We'll see. Even by hand it's ****** expensive to buy the right gear.

    I'll be using Megs #83

    This_is_how_the_Astra_turned_out.

Ed. Taylor is going to be doing some charity detailing soon but I'm not sure if that includes Swirl removal. £100 I think.
