    Default Warranty question.

If you buy a second hand VX 07 car from a dealer does it come with the VX three year warranty upto 2010 or does it come with a one year network Q warranty only?

    The original warranty is stepped
In the first year almost everything is covered
In the second and third years there is a mileage limit and the cover, whilst still very comprehensive, has some exclusions

I've bought several cars through Network Q, and it's actually the balance up to 1 year

So if you buy a car that it is less than 1 years old in most cases the Network Q warranty never applies!
If you buy a car that is between 1 and 3 three years old, or more than 60K miles, then the Network Q warranty is more likely to apply

Furthermore, the Network Q warranty can apply for certain conditions post-purchase
One of these is if the brake pads fail due to wear and tear, within the first year after purchase
Under the original warranty you would have to pay for their repair
However, if you check the small print in the Network Q warranty you will find you can claim!

Basically the Net Q warranty is far superior- you can get pads, discs, clutch shockers basically everything on it. Vx warranty after the first year is hardly worth the paper it's written on and the dealers nearly always find a "that's not covered" with the normal warranty.

Net Q states that brakes, clutch etc should be checked so they last at least 1 year. Obviously with the newness of your car a lot of this shouldn't count! Near the end of your Net Q I'd take it to a good garage or someone who knows what they're doing and go over the car with a fine toothed comb!!!

Not in my experience, you should go to a different dealer, as the current one are cr4p.
