Default What is a Travel Assistant?

Ive read the how 2 but never heard of or seen one before. Is it a mini fridge to keep my marbles cool in the summer?

    Thanks

Basically, yes mate. Duncan will be along shortly to explain further, but it is a fridge, a storage unit and has a place to plug in your in-car DVD etc.

Whatever made you think I'd be along Gary? LOL

Gary summed it up. It's a unit that sits over the middle seat in a Signum, and more recent Vectras, that has a fridge that'll take 6x330ml cans or 4x500ml bottles, some storage drawers/spaces, two fold out trays, drink holders and a couple of 12V outlets for your gizmos. Also has a raisable platform to take portable DVD players.

This pic shows a bit of the Travel Assistant.

Duncan, thats brilliant, you want a keep an eye on that cause if VX see that they'll be putting that on their website. I notice you didn't go for the fit blonde in a pair of natty shades to sit in their looking cool.

LOL, I'll be keeping an eye on their website then! I knocked that up a little while ago after someone asking me what was so different about a Signum.

Thanks very much for the replys and info peeps.

Sounds like a very handy bit of kit to have on the long journeys.

How much are they new/2nd hand?

    Thanks

It's a great bit of kit, I love it.

iirc they tend to go for around the £300 mark whenever they appear on ebay. Can't recall how much they are new.

You need to have the floor socket to be able to attach and use the TA. You can retro fit it - Brake Buster did a superb How 2 here.
