    Default Tuning 2.2

Hi, please excuse my lack of knowlege, but i've read a few posts about tunning the cdti engine and i'm wondering if there are any cheap tunning mods for the 2.2 Dti engine, i have noticed a tunning box in the R/N/S wheel arch, can someone also explain how this works

    Many Thanks

    Keith

Tuning boxes fool the ecu into putting more fuel in. Tuning options are limited on the 2.2 unless you have lots of money! Best thing is remap, intake, intercooler and exhaust. Maybe an upgraded turbo if your have the cash to splash

an exhaust system will cost MORE! trust me when I say "it will be the best £240 you spend on your car"
your car should be 125 bhp and this will take it upto 157 bhp then the exhaust system about 3-4 bhp more and a filter about 1-2 bhp if your lucky. dont over do it though cos you can kill the water pump and they are £1600 fitted! I dont think anyone has achieved more than 165 bhp from a 2.2dti is not a bad gain though from a 125 bhp car! Now then panel filters or induction kits? a panel filter is £45 for your 2.2 but if you want a really good gain from the filter look at a BMC CDA or a VIPER but NOT open induction kits. you want ENCLOSED as the heat doesnt get to it as much.

Now your talking... £240 seems a bit cheaper that £425, Is that just a plug and play box or is it a re map?
