    Default Handbrake solution

After the handbrake problem being on Watchdog and VX doing a recall i got wondering as to wether Taggarts did this on my car as the handbrake feels much more stiffer and doesn't clunk when it's applied - as it did constantly before being taken to the garage.

The recall on the BBC website said it was for the Manual Vectras though........

    Very unlikely
I've not even had the letter yet, advising of the "upgrade"

Me neither, but it feels much firmer than it did before. I've even tried it a few times and each time it hasn't clunked like it used to

Sounds like they've just adjusted it. Doubtful they'd have taken it upon themselves to do work they don't need to.

Dealers have not even received rework instructions yet.
Vauxhall are waiting for the parts to become available, they estimate 2 to 3 weeks for that.

Is this ALL Vectra's, or specific builds?

All manual Vectra Cs since 2002. Should be getting our notification letters in the next few weeks.

The handbrake can very easily be adjusted without adding parts to apply lower down (less clicks) and catch as soon as you try to move it. If they had to disturb it, they probably just put it back correctly rather than the shoddy way they have been coming out of the factory.
