Default Auto Close Windows If It Rains

Just tried the auto close and it works great. Just a tip for anyone who hasn't tried it, the car must be deadlocked and this can only be done if the drivers door has been opened and closed.

I know some may say why would you want this facility, well just imagine it's a hot sunny summers day, I know that's hard to imagine, and youv'e left the car in the drive with the windows down to stop it baking inside, then suddenly a short sharp shower arrives, hey presto the windows close keeping your pristine interior ....pristine. lol.

Wow, how do you activate this? Or does it do it automatically?

Yep, it's a nifty feature - although I don't think I've used it on mine to date, but at least it's there if I ever did leave a window open accidentally.

You need to have the rain sensor wipers - be they the version where you need the flick the stalk one click to activate them or the fully automatic ones.

All you do is simply deadlock/double-lock the car and it's set, as soon as the rain sensor detects rain it will close all the window. If you have rear electrics, it's even cooler as all the windows will then go up!

Even if it doesn't rain, after a number of hours the windows will close automatically anyway.

Got the auto wippers. Wil ltry this tonight. So just let down the windows, dead lock the car and sprinkle watter on the windscreen sensors. Superb. Had the car for nearly 9months and never new this.

Yep, that's it - just don't do what I did when I first tested the rain wipers feature on my car way back....Stood on the drivers side and poured water on the sensor, wipers flicked as they were meant to, dumping the water off the screen all onto me!
