I've done 35,000 on a tuning box, had a EGR problem a few weeks ago but thats appears to be a common fault anyway
I don't think you can sell it on after your done with teh car. Duncan and the BSR crew will know for sure -- I think one of them said that the software sort of fixes itself to the ONE original car it remapped, and that is it. That stops one module being used to map thousands of cars I should imagine.
You can't just revert the car to standard and then sell the PPC unit for somebody to use on a different car with the same engine as the unit locks itself to the original car the first time it's mapped. All you could do is sell it with the original car, or see if BSR could reload a different map into the PPC unit. I don't think the latter is an option they offer, but I'm not 100% sure.
How much are these BSR remaps?
£588 - fricking rip-off for a £50 piece of hardware and a bit of software. I'd rather pay a proper tuning company like Regal or the Vauxhall Performance Centre less money for a remap. I mean, other than the ability to remove and replace the remap, what's the advantage of the BSR?
BSR - for the obsessive compulsive!
Yeah, it's a real rip-off when they buy each car, develop each map from scratch on dynos and the open road, spend a huuuge amount of hours developing them, with staff, equipment and overheads to pay for to deliver a quality product with a customer service to match. Yep, they're obviously ripping us off!!!
