    Eek Big empty hole....

..Where my money USED to be!
So my £2800 Vectra wasn't such a bargin after all.

Just had the phone call from Vx Dealer where it's in for its service.

The list seems short but sharp:
    - Front Pads
    - Rear Disks and Pads
    - 2x Front Tires
    - Driverside Rear Shock
    - That lovley CIM Module
    - Wiperblades
    - The service its self
    - Geomety Check
    - Diagnostic Check

    Total Damage = £1338.40

Mods on hold. Need to pay this off!
Dame I hope this isn't going to be a long list of problems

    Easy to knock down:

A dealer will charge premium rate for pads and discs, you'll get it done cheaper elsewhere. (Even I can change brake pads...and I'm useless )

The tyres will come from a tyre supplier and the dealer will mark up the price. Cut out the middleman (ie/ the dealer)

In fact the above just about applies to everything you've listed.

    So before he call's back,

Should I just ask for CIM to be fixed and I organise the rest my self?

Engineering back ground and a friend who's handy with mechanics.

    Best place for the parts?

    Defintely.
Pads, discs and tyres arent thsat expensive.

    Shocks again arent that expensive

Alot of what they qouted will be high prices and big labour charges
