Fuel Tank Capacity

My needle is just above the first red line and i'm hoping it will last till i get paid as i'm going to put Redex Advanced in the tank while it's almost empty then fill it.

How many litres of diesel does it take to fill the tank?

61 from completely empty mate

I'm guessing it's the same on both petrol and diesel Vectra's?

This redex advanced stuff is supposed to be really good. You have to put it in a nearly empty tank then fill up.

And just for info.....fuel light comes on at around 15 or 16 litres remaining, starts flashing at around 7 or 8 litres remaining.

oh right, PANIC OVER THEN, so when the light starts flashing you still have just under 2 gallons (2 gallons = 9.08 litres) left in your tank, that would take you on for a fews mile more - No need to worry then!!!

I read as well on here that when the needle sits in the middle of the red zone the tank is short of empty hence where it says 10miles you have a grace of about 20. Veccys are not as forgiving as other diesels fuel wise. Once you are at 0miles the car is running on fumes and a conk-out is imminent.
