Having no idea myself, as things are going with your new motor................ Just cut them both. and see what happens.
We have a moto at work............ if in doubt ask. a good policy save "knackering" things up.

Yeah... why does it feel like 'bomb' disposal

Thought these gauges were supposed to be simple...

..and I've not even started with the electrics yet

Steve, I wouldnt cut any pipe. Firstly, get another bit of pipe the same diameter as those. Then pull off one of the pipes (they look like push fit?). Then put the pipe you've just pulled off into the new guage and use the new piece of pipe to put into the other side of the guage and back onto where you just pulled the original pipe off the engine.
Try both pipes in this way and see which one works. Also can be easily removed and put back to standard if required (warranty etc). You dont have to cut any pipes.

Don't cut, pull! Get some silicon hose for good old Halfords, pull the blue pipe off, squeeze some silicon hose on and put the T-piece in there... Not sure if that is a pressure feed but the red definatly isn't because it is coming from before the turbo.

i would of paid a garage 30 mins labour to do it because a faulty/leaking boost gauge is useless as it will be giving you an incorrect reading.
on a seperate note that turbo does look massive has anyone any idea what these turbos are good for because the one in my subaru looked tiny compared to that and that was good for 350bhp.

Right... I pop down to halfords then and get some hoses...

Thats what I did, paid 1 hours labour though, and got a new pipe fitted so when I sold it I just swapped them back .. Still have the old pipe/guage kicking around ..

Bigger turbo doesn`t mean it is more powerful, it is a very similar turbo to the scooby one, twin scroll ...
