    Default 0 miles to empty.

I jumped into the car this morning to go and see Andy to pick up my rear skirt. Wife seams to know to let it go empty when i'm due home.
Down the motorway and i get the fuel empty light on the screen. I was running a little a late so i thought it will be ok.
Got to Andy's and it was reading 0 miles.
Went to fill it up and pulled along side of the V power pump. I thought i'll try this stuff see what it's like.
Expensive is what it's like. 1.11.9 ltr.
    65 Quid I hope it's worth it.
Had to sell the skirt on the forcourt to pay the bill.

Doesn't beat the one I had the other day mate - price came down a penny as I was handing over my card to pay for my 63 Litres of Tesco's finest...

63p extra that cost me - that's 6 miles of driving!

I try to only use the V power diesel now, might cost an extra 5p per litre but the car is more responsive and does an extra 30 miles to a tank (compared with supermarket fuel)

My car seems to drink V Power/BP Ultimate, but it performs better and runs better with it.

I have given up with it all now and just shove normal Shell Fuel in it now.

I managed to fool the fuel tank meter last week...

Was on a run of about 50 miles and sat behind a lorry at 50mph
I ran it down to 10 miles left in tank
I then topped up with 10 litres, the reading was still 10 miles
I then topped up a few hours later, with another 10 litres, the reading was down to 9 miles
I then topped up the following morning, with another 10 litres (taking it to half a tank), and the reading was now 8 miles
Now that the tank had 30 litres I let it run down to 0 miles
I got fedup of it though, and switched the engine off and then back on again, and it sorted itself out!

It's more than 111p a litre for normal diesel over here in a good number of stations.

Your prices are going up, mine are coming down!
Last weekend my diesel was selling for £108.9
On Friday I got the email to change it to £106.9
Quite a few people were happy to wait while we changed the price!
Rumour has it on Monday another 1p will be taken off, as my local TESCO and ASDA also went to £106.9 so I am going in at about 10:00 to check
