    confused ok... polish

    newbe to polish! neva used it, wash my car weekly, looks great. just the weather in this country sh##s it up so easly. i no polish give it a good shine, but alot of people polish in the winter? why? after a few days the rain etc mess's it up.

    im completely new to polishing thing so can some one tell me the benefits of the hole thing,

    be nice lol

    It protects the paintwork from all the salt, cr@p, $hite on our roads m8

    If you use a claybar on the car every 6 months or so you will be surprised how much cack has stuck to it.

    Dont know about polish, but wax/sealant will protect the paintwork, and help repel some of the crud.........

    polish will flatten the paint and remove surface defects, some polishes will add a layer of protection i.e SRP or Megs DC2

    if you want protection something like EGP, Collinite, Natty, Dodo will be better

    If your new to detailing I would recommend Autoglym Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection.
    SRP will condition and clean the paint like a normal polish with some fillers to help with swirl marks and the EGP will seal in the finish and keep it shinier for longer.
    Both easiy available from Halfords for less than £20.

    Ps. Pick up a couple of decent Microfibre cloths while your there.
