    Default Car Parks

Car parked in Tesco car park for 10mins whilst I went in to get some things for lunch yesterday. I came back to the car jumped in and drove off. It wasn't til 40seconds later when i needed to see if anything was behind me on me left side and to my amazement found that the mirror was bent back - not a problem I pulled over and fixed it back - all electrics in the mirror still work, mirror tilts up down left right - so i drove on.

My mother just came in the door today and gave me the best news - some idiot has put a small dent in my rear left side passenger door.

The ironic thing is I parked my car in the part of the car park where no other cars sit.

The lesson i learn't here is that no car is safe in a car park.

And to add insult to injury, I was only in the shop ten minutes so looking back on it the culprit was in still in the car park as no other car was there - when i parked and obviously seen what he done and drove off.

The dent itself does not make me mad, but the fact he chose to park next to me considering where i was - there were other spaces.

Just washed mine and noticed someone has scratched my door strip at some point...probably in a car park too!

Some people have no respect for other peoples property.

    This really gets my goat!
Why oh why do morons park right next to you in an empty carpark and then just fling their doors open without a care in the world!!!

I'm so careful about trying to park in the safest place to the point my missus is puffing and panting with annoyance only to return to the car and find some to$$er has parked so close I can barely get in the ****** door!

My door mouldings are peppered with small dents and scratches and they are all from other people.

Rant over, hope you get your dent fixed fairly easily mate. I now have to go and repair my keyboard after typing the above rant rather viciously...

Yeah car park prangs really boil my P**s.

I always avoid parking near people if i can help it but you will always get someone come park next to you when there us 30 spaces either side free. I picked up a few tickets for my protective parking. Luckily though i have no dents in the side of my motor. Someone scuffed the bumper but that t cutted out.

Those people that just swing the door open and slam it into the next car without a care in the world really really annoy me I hate you all

Sounds like what happened to my front bumper. A very windy evening and a stray trolley flying across the car park No other cars in sight but a lonely trolley was there looking very guilty.

Ever noticed park a nice car in the car park everyone parks beside you.

Park a pile of poo and they all keep away.

Think I will trade mine in for an old Skoda.

Mine seems to be a magnet also, I try my best to keep it clean and looking good.

Always try and park it where you "think" no one will park next you but they do.

I am convinced some people are such bad drivers they need another car to park against so they get the lines straight....ish. If they tried to park in an area with no cars they would be parked over the lines, ot if they tried to park ina space with cars either side, they would **** on of them!

Following on from bigp, i don't think this was a door - too low down just under that strip that sits half way down the doors. I think someone's driven in the space whilst maneuvering and has steered their car too much whilst reversing or not enough driving into the space.

How would you remove this dent?

I'll get a pic and when you see it, you'll agree there are far worse than this one.

Sorry to hear about the damage. Here are some hints and tips for next time you use car parks.

1/ Find a space where the cars on either side of the space are clean and as new as possible.

2/ Never park next to a car with only 2 doors as the doors are bigger than a 4 door car & have more chance of opening onto yours.

3/ Never park next to people carriers. They have small people in them who need strapping in by mom or dad, hence wide open doors.

4/ Park near the main enterance of the supermarket. More witnesses if damaged !

5/ If you have your better half with you, stay in the car (as i always do).

6/ Never park next to me because i have an old 2 door people carrier, 19 kids, always park it away from the main enterance so no witnesses, i can't drive legally as i have no licence - insurance - M.O.T. etc. and i like parking next to the only car in the car park .

Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !
