Right..
123bhp - 204lb/ft Torque apparently as standard..
I have yet to see a standard one make standard power though, all the ones i have seen put out more. My one puts out 135bhp and 220lb/ft as an example.
Chain Driven, Bottom Pulley's are suspect, they are a damper pulley and the centre rips out of them Currently massive back order from Vauxhall UK, so check if its been replaced. Boost Pipes can spilt too, expensive to replace as they inly come in pairs, £130 OEM only if i recall rightly.
MPG is variable on my Vectra, had it as low as 29MPG when "In a Hurry" but realistically round town for me is 35mpg, this week driving like a saint is nearer 45mpg though.
Performance isnt gonna break any records, but its acceptable, not a patch on your 2.0T though.
All in all i like mine, was gonna change it for a CDTi earlier in the year but was advised against it..
champion cheers mate, whats up with the cdti then ?
Some people have lots of trouble, some people have no trouble. It's a bit of pot luck really to be honest...
"2.2dti engine, any good? "
Mine has been rubbish, others have no problems.
Ive only had to replace the boost pipe on mine so i got the upgraded one and had no probs since. i quite like the performance of it, as with most cars could be improved but its enough for just driving around in. I havent had mine on the RR yet but should be come the summer, i have a few more mods before it goes on!
Id advise before it breaks get the upgraded boost pipe and stick it on then you will never had that problem and have to drive around with slack performance and a ton of smoke out the back.
I had to wait 2 weeks for my pipe and it wasnt fun, i tried patching it up until i got the pipe but driving to Northampton and back wasnt fun and very smokey!
So far, mile for mile, my Signum 1.9CDTi has been a better, more reliable car than my 2.2DTi was.
Probably tempting fate here.....
When the 2.2 DTi worked, it worked well, when it wasn't, it was a pig.
DTi's had nothing to do with Isuzu. They are an original Opel design.
